DESCRIPTION:One of a kind! To di Wurl! One Wurl! \nLila Iké hat das Zeug zum Super­star\, das hat sie unlängst bei ihrem Gram­my-Auftritt bewiesen und beim Lost in Time Fes­ti­val in Kingston. Gle­ichzeit­ig ist sie geerdet wie nur wenige in ihrem Meti­er. Sie beherrscht die Reg­gae-Klaviatur aus dem Eff­eff. Bevor sie große Büh­nen mit dynamis­chen Shows ein­nahm\, rock­te sie bere­its Sound Sys­tem Ses­sions wie ein Pro. Diese Ses­sions haben sie genau­so bee­in­flusst wie Gar­nett Silk und Lau­ryn Hill. Ihr beson­deres Tal­ent blieb auch ihrem Men­tor Pro­to­je nicht ver­bor­gen. Der nahm sie bere­its 2017 in sein Indig­gna­tion Camp auf. Acht Jahre später wird sie für ihr gefeiertes Debü­tal­bum „Trea­sure Self Love“ für einen Reg­gae-Gram­my nominiert. In der Szene rund um Pro­to­jes Habi­tat Stu­dio in den Bergen über Kingston – ihre Home­base – kur­siert schon länger die Beze­ich­nung Wurl (Jamaikanisch für World) für alles\, was mit Lila zu tun hat. Sie griff den Spitz­na­men auf und erfüllte sich einen Kind­heit­straum. Zusam­men mit Joshua Waters Rudge\, Sänger der englis­chen Band The Skints und erprobter Selec­tor\, grün­dete sie den Wurl Sound. Mit dem reist sie nach Ses­sions in Jamai­ka\, Eng­land und Japan nun erst­mals durch Deutsch­land. \nUp close & per­son­al! Auch bei der Rid­dim Ses­sion #2 geht es vor allem darum\, die Dis­tanz zwis­chen Kün­st­lerin und Pub­likum zu über­winden und Nähe zu schaf­fen. \nDurchs Warm Up und die After­par­ty jug­glen die Köl­ner Top-Selec­tors DJ Densen\, D‑One und DJ Adirock! Bei den Reg­gae Acad­e­my Awards holte er gle­ich mehrere davon\, u. a. in der Kat­e­gorie „Bester Sänger“\, und für seine Hit-Sin­gle „She’s Roy­al“ erhielt er Ausze­ich­nun­gen in den Kat­e­gorien „Beliebtester Song“ und „Bester Reg­gae-Song“.
