After carving out a name for himself in the Alt‑R&B scene the past few years, Conrad turned his expertise to Jazz on wHIMSY! in 2025, and now continues flaunting his versatility with an upcoming Reggae LP and its Dancehall introduction ‘Nervous’.
This isn’t just a heavy-bass anthem, it’s a political statement. The Alt‑R&B star uses the almost-three-minute number to exude pride in his heritage, as his mother is a Jamaican-native. Conrad sports a Jamaican fur helmet and uses the national flag as a backdrop in his music video. Another aspect of his life amplified in this video is his sexuality. The outspoken gay artist, adorns a t‑shirt which spells out ‘Kill Homophobia’ in the same colours as the Jamaican flag.
In case it wasn’t obvious, Conrad never eases himself into a musical world, he turns heads. Something which he admits himself throughout, “When I walk in the room, dem get up / Make them nervous”.
